A slim, deep-profile wooden shadow box frame, designed by me and made by an artisan woodworker in High River, Alberta, Canada. The face is only 1 cm, and the frame is 5 cm deep. Making a face this thin at that depth isn’t easy; we tried many materials, and poplar works best for this delicate design so far. This frame is fully sealed and ready to hang( if you order a painting here with this frame). Inside, the painting is protected with an archival backboard and archival paper mat, covered with either UV-protection acrylic (99% UV) or anti-reflective UV acrylic (museum grade). The frame in the photo uses the museum-grade option. A clear varnish is standard; custom wood stain colours are available, please contact me when you place your order.
